This is your perfect chance to enjoy the best views of the Annapurna region.The trip starts with your arrival at Kathmandu, where you get the permits for the climb. Then, you drive to Chame via Besisahar. The trek begins from Chame as you walk through the Marsyangdi Valley, enjoying the views of the Annapurna range. You walk past various rustic villages and towns like Pisang, Ngawal, Manang, and Jomsom.Once you arrive at Yak Kharka, you then start to ascend to Chulu East Base Camp and then proceed to the High Camp. From there, you start the climb early in the morning, so that by midday, you reach the top. The summit provides excellent views of the landscape with sceneries of mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. Next, you head to Thorong La via Manang and Ledar, which is another highlight of the region. The trip nears to an end as you head to Muktinath, a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Trip Itinerary

Day

1

The first day of the trek starts with your arrival at the land of Himalayas, Nepal. As per your scheduled flight, you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, located in the heart of the capital city, Kathmandu. Our representatives are eagerly waiting to welcome you warmly. After introductions, it’s time to head to the hotel where you rest and refresh. You join our representatives again at dinner for a formal welcome. You can discuss the details of the trek with them.

It is essential to prepare your body for the climb, especially if this is your first time. After filling in necessary documents for the permit, you head to exercise your body and boost your stamina. There are bouldering spaces at Thamel, near your hotel where you can practice your skills. If you want, we can also arrange meetings with expert mountaineers who can give you tips on climbing.

You wake up early and have breakfast. Then, you board the vehicle that will take you to Besisahar. En route, you get to enjoy the views of lush hills and forests of the hilly region. By late afternoon, you arrive at the lodge where you’ll be staying overnight.

You start your day early and board the same vehicle you used to arrive at Besisahar. Your destination for today is Chame. You drive slowly to higher elevations and reach Dharapani, where you have your lunch. Continuing the drive, the road gradually starts to get steep and rough. En route, you get to enjoy the pristine surroundings and views of mountains like Annapurna II and Lamjung. Before sunset, you arrive at Chame for overnight stay.

The trek begins with a steep and almost vertical route, which takes you through the lush green forests of the region. Enjoying the fresh surroundings, you make your way through the hills. Along the trail, you will start to see amazing views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and other neighbouring mountain ranges. After walking for a while, you start to see Pisang Peak, and then finally reach Pisang village for overnight stay.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you ascend to the higher elevations and enjoy the views of the terrain. You head to the green forests and follow a stream. Passing by various small settlement areas, you arrive at Ngawal for an overnight stay at the lodge.

Since you’ll be heading to higher elevations, it is important to take a day for acclimatization. The best way to acclimatize is to walk as resting or sitting will not help. After breakfast, you head to explore the local markets. Also, visit the local monasteries, where you can discover the lifestyle of the monks.

Today, you start the trek as you head to the grazing lands of yaks. The trek continues after breakfast, and you gradually ascend. Passing by several small settlement areas, you slowly start to see the grazing lands. If you are lucky, you may also get to see yak herders and yaks. Then, you find a suitable spot where you can set up camps for overnight stay.

Finally, you start to head towards the summit. The trail today is rocky and steep, so you have to be careful. Leaving the pastureland, you ascend to a snowy and moraine filled region. You will get to see the breathtaking glimpses of Annapurna. You need to find a suitable flat place where you can set up tents for overnight stay.

Today, you head to the High Camp from the main base camp. The trail starts to get steeper and harder to trek. The moraines, snow, and sharp rocks make this route strenuous. Enjoying the views of the mountains, you arrive at the high camp. Then, you need to find a suitable place where you can set up tents for overnight stay.

You need to start early, so you wake up around 1-2 a.m., and start to prepare for the climb. It is best to go as early as possible because the midday winds make it difficult to climb. From the top, you can enjoy the panoramic views of mountains like Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Tilicho Himal. After enjoying the views, you descend back to Yak Kharka for an overnight stay.

After the tiring yet exciting climb to the summit, it’s time to head back. After packing and having breakfast, you hit the trail that descends the valley. The trail then goes through a lush forest filled with rhododendron, pine, and oak. Then, you start to trek along the Julu Khola. After passing a few settlement areas, you arrive at Manang, a beautiful village inhabited by the Gurung and Thakali people. Overnight stay at a lodge.

The trail today ascends to higher elevations. You trek through the valley of Jarsang Khola, and the vegetation starts to get scarce. En route, you encounter a lot of wild yaks and blue sheep. As you head further, the elevation increases gradually, and you start to feel the lack of air. During this time, you need to be careful. Otherwise, you may get altitude sickness. Once you reach Ledar, the fantastic views of the Annapurna range and Chulu West Peak reward you. Overnight stay at a lodge.

The trek continues after breakfast, and you make your way down to the banks of the Chulu Khola. After crossing the river, you again ascend to reach Phedi. From here onwards, the forest vegetation starts to get lush again with rhododendron, oak, and pine trees in view. You pass by many small villages and settlement areas. Finally, you arrive at High Camp for an overnight stay.

Today, you’ll be ascending to one of the high passes of the region, the Thorong-La Pass. En route, you get to see amazing views of the landscape and the mountain ranges in the backdrop. Once you reach the top of the pass, you get to see breathtaking sceneries of the mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Tilicho Peak, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre and other neighbouring mountains. Then, you head down to Muktinath after soaking in the view. Overnight stay at a lodge.

16

You wake up early and visit the temple and pay your respects. After exploring the temple, you have your breakfast and board the vehicle that will take you to Jomsom. En route, you see amazing views of the valley and drive past rustic villages. The road goes along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River. Overnight stay at the lodge.

17

After an early breakfast, you head to the airport and catch the first flight back to Pokhara. En flight, enjoy the scenic views of the landscape for the last time. You arrive at Pokhara airport, and from there, you head to the hotel to rest and refresh. In the evening, you join the staff for a farewell dinner.

18

You need to reach the bus stop before 7 a.m., so have a light breakfast. You board the bus and drive along the Prithivi Highway again. En route, you get to enjoy the serene views of the landscape and the blue rivers. By late afternoon, you arrive at Kathmandu, and from there, you head to the hotel. At the hotel, you join our representatives and guides for dinner.

Sadly, the trek has come to an end, and it’s time for you to return. Before heading to the airport, make sure that you have all your belongings with you. As per your scheduled flight, our staff will drop you off at the airport. Thank you for traveling with us, and hope to see you again. Have a safe flight!
