On the foothills of the majestic Langtang Range, the stunning valley of Langtang has always been admired for its accessibility and natural beauty. Lying close to the Kathmandu valley, the region is one of the closest trekking routes from the capital city. Often described as the valley of glaciers, the region boasts a stunning Himalayan beauty reflected by its majestic peaks.

Frequented by trekkers of all ages, the region boasts a unique local culture and a way of life passed down from generations. The lush green forests work in perfect contrast with the Himalayas with the vibrant hamlets creating a perfect harmony. A more of a relaxing adventure, the Langtang valley trek offers a perfect gateway through the pleasant hilly trails and the lush green forests.

Touching down at Tribhuvan International Airport, we begin our adventure sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. We start our Langtang valley trek as we drive to the scenic town of Sybrubensi. Through the lush green forests, the trail takes us over to Bamboo, and then we reach the Lama Hotel.

Enjoying the local culture and way of life at the quaint hamlets, we make our way over to the newly build hamlet of Langtang. Enjoying the pleasant natural beauty with a hint of the Himalayas, we make our way over to the hamlet of Kyangin.

We head over to the centuries-old monastery as we enjoy views of the majestic Himalayas, including Shishapangma (8,013m), Langtang Lirung (7,246m) and Dorje Lakpa (6,988m) amongst others. After enjoying the stunning Himalayan panorama, we make our way back to Lama Hotel. Next, we head back to Kathmandu, which brings our Himalayan adventure to an end.

Trip Itinerary

Day

1

Touching down at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representatives who will guide you directly to the hotel. Freshening up from the long journey, you will be further introduced to other members of the staff, including your guides for the trek. Following a short briefing session, we conclude all the activities scheduled for the day, and you are free to head down to the local region, enjoying the pleasant evening.

After breakfast, you meet our tour guide at the hotel premises. Then you will be taken to some of the prominent sites in the Kathmandu valley, including the pilgrimage sites like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath. Later, you will stroll around the many temples and the alleys of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Squares which boasts of rich culture and history of the ancient Kathmandu valley.

An early start to the day, we begin our adventure heading to the hamlet of Sybrubensi, which also serves as the gateway into the Langtang Region. Exiting the capital city through the winding bends of Trishuli Highway, the journey takes us past stunning Hilly landscapes. Meeting the Trishuli River at Dev Ghat, we head north through the riverbanks till Betrawati Bazaar. Finding the lush green forests once again, the journey takes us to the picturesque town of Dhunche before meeting up with the Trishuli River for a pleasant drive to Sybrubensi.

An early start to the day today, we make our way over to Lama Hotel for the night. Through the lush green forests and well-marked trails, we head towards Bamboo. After a brief stop for lunch, we continue through the banks of the stunning Langtang River. The final stretch of the trek takes us to Lama Hotel located on the banks of the Langtang River.

An early start to the day, we begin our pleasant journey exiting the vibrant settlement of Langtang heading towards Kyangin Gompa. Adorned with the stunning views of Langtang Lirung (7,246m) and Dorje Lakpa (6,988m), we continue our journey through the lush green forests heading past picturesque hilly landscapes. Through several vibrant hamlets, the journey takes us to the settlement of Kyangin Gompa.

5

Making our way out of Lama Hotel, the trail follows the banks of the Langtang Khola, heading towards the settlement of Thangshyap. As the disappearing hills give way to the snowy tops of the majestic Himalayas, the trail begins heading towards the destroyed settlement of Langtang. Once ravaged by earthquake, a sole monastery sits atop the place, paying homage to the lost souls. Past the Gompa, the trail ascends to the new settlement of Langtang nestled in the foothills of the Langtang Himalayan Range.

Today is a rest day. On this acclimatizing day, we head over to the oldest monastery of the region. Surrounded by the majestic Himalayas, including Shishapangma (8,013m), Langtang Lirung (7,246m), and Dorje Lakpa (6,988m) amongst others, the centuries-old monastery displays a deeper connection between culture and religion.

At the beginning of our descending journey today, we retrace our steps back to Lama Hotel for the night. Exiting the stunning hamlet of Kyangin, we make our way over to the vibrant hamlet of Langtang before passing through the old Langtang settlement once more to reach Thangshyap. The next stretch of our journey takes us back through the lush green forests following the banks of the Langtang Khola before reaching back to Lama Hotel for the night.

9

Exiting Lama Hotel, we begin our descending journey following the banks of the Langtang Khola towards Syabrubensi. The journey takes us through the pine forests over to the quaint settlement of Bamboo. With the majestic Himalayas to our back, the trail takes us to Syabrubensi.

10

An early start to the day, we begin our journey exiting Syabrubensi, following the stunning Trishuli River south. Through the vibrant hamlets, the journey takes us alongside pleasant hilly landscapes. We reach the capital city heading directly to our hotel, where a lovely Himalayan dinner awaits us.

11

Our representatives will drop you back to Tribhuvan International Airport just in time for your flight back home. We hope you had a lovely time with us and we look forward to seeing you again.
