Had the time of my life

Looking back, trekking with Temba and my fiancee to Gokyo Ri in the summer of 2019 is one of the best days of our lives. This is one of the moment that we always think and talk about, and we are certainly visiting Temba in Nepal again someday in the future. I would highly recommend Temba. During the trek, we became very good friends. He is a very patient guide and took great care of us, making sure we are safe and sound and make sure our journey is as enjoyable as it can be. With love, from Singapore

The VERY best

Whatever you want to do in Nepal : climbing Everest, Island or Mera Peak, or a trekking to Annapurna or Langtang....You can do it with Everest Extreme Adventure, the agency of Temba Sherpa. I did 5 trekkings and 3 climbing with Temba Sherpa and it was everything I could dream: VERY compétent climbing sherpa, detailled briefing the evening before storting, perfect organisation of his team, kind man, ..I could ask anything...SIMPLY THE BEST. So if you go on trekking/ climbing in Nepal, just chose Everest Extrême Adventure. Super

Everest Extreme Adventure and Temba Highly Recommended

In April / May of 2019 seven of us from Nova Scotia Canada trekked to Mount Everest Basecamp in Nepal. The trek itself was lead by Tempa Serpa an experienced climber who looked after us all individually and made sure each of us were doing the right things to make it to Basecamp. He paid attention to detail and looked after us extremely well including added extras like a picnic at basecamp with his brother when we arrived. His knowledge and life stories of the Kumbu region are amazing. By the end of the trip my wife and I were good friends with Temba and we hope to see him again one day. I highly recommend Everest Extreme Adventure and Temba for any trek you may be considering in Nepal.

Trekking in the Himalayas

Top shelf company, have used several others in the past. Temba's company was excellent and helped us explore Kathmandu as well. I will be using them in the future.

Reliable Guide

Temba guided me through the Gokyo Lakes and brought me up Island Peak. Throughout the entire expedition, I was well-taken care of and I can always be sure that my safety was taken care of. Temba is also extremely knowledgeable about trekking and mountaineering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everest Extreme Adventure offers a wide range of trekking, tour, and adventure experiences across Nepal, including the Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna and Langtang treks, mountain expeditions, cultural tours, sightseeing, peak climbing, helicopter tours, and customized adventure packages. Our experienced team helps travelers select the right itinerary based on their interests, fitness level, available time, travel preferences, and budget. We aim to provide well-organized trips with experienced guides, reliable transportation, comfortable accommodation, and personalized support throughout your journey in Nepal.

Most international travelers need a valid passport and a Nepal tourist visa to enter the country. Depending on your selected trekking or tour itinerary, you may also need trekking permits, national park or conservation area permits, and other required local permissions. Everest Extreme Adventure can assist you with general information about the necessary documentation and permit arrangements for your trip. We recommend booking your adventure in advance so there is sufficient time to organize permits, accommodation, transportation, guides, porters, and other services according to your itinerary.

Nepal provides Visa on Arrival facilities to citizens of many countries at Tribhuvan International Airport and selected land entry points. Travelers generally need to complete the required application process, provide the necessary documents, pay the applicable visa fee, and complete immigration procedures before receiving their tourist visa. Tourist visas may also be extended in Nepal subject to the current rules and requirements of the immigration authorities. Everest Extreme Adventure can provide general travel guidance regarding the visa process, but travelers should always confirm the latest visa requirements, fees, and extension rules with the official Nepal immigration authorities before traveling.

Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all trekking, climbing, and adventure trips with Everest Extreme Adventure. Your insurance should ideally cover trekking at the maximum altitude included in your itinerary, emergency medical treatment, helicopter or other emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, lost baggage, and other unexpected situations. If you are participating in high-altitude trekking, peak climbing, or mountaineering, it is particularly important to check that your insurance policy specifically covers the activity and maximum elevation involved. Travelers should carefully review their policy before departure to ensure they have appropriate protection.

Good physical and mental preparation can make your trekking experience safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable. We recommend starting regular walking, hiking, cardiovascular exercise, and strength training several weeks before your trip, with preparation levels depending on the difficulty and altitude of your chosen route. Also prepare suitable trekking clothing, comfortable and durable hiking boots, warm layers, a sleeping bag if required, personal medications, sunscreen, water bottles, and other essential equipment. Everest Extreme Adventure provides detailed packing information, trekking guidelines, and preparation advice based on your specific destination, season, itinerary, and altitude.

Safety and guest well-being are among the highest priorities at Everest Extreme Adventure. Our trekking and adventure programs are supported by experienced guides who understand the local terrain, weather conditions, altitude, trekking routes, and potential challenges of traveling in the Himalayas. We design itineraries with suitable acclimatization and rest periods and monitor travelers throughout the journey. Our team also guides hydration, nutrition, altitude awareness, appropriate pacing, and responsible trekking practices. We work with trusted transportation, accommodation, and service providers to help provide a safe, organized, and comfortable travel experience.

Everest Extreme Adventure has procedures to respond to unexpected situations such as altitude sickness, injuries, severe weather, route difficulties, or other emergencies that may occur during a trip. Our guides monitor guests throughout the journey and can coordinate with local health facilities, rescue services, transportation providers, and other relevant authorities when necessary. Depending on the location and circumstances, emergency evacuation may be arranged by road, helicopter, or another appropriate method. Because rescue and medical services can be costly, travelers are strongly advised to have comprehensive travel insurance that specifically covers emergency medical treatment and evacuation at the altitude and activity level of their chosen trip.

Nepalese Rupees are widely used throughout the country, while ATMs and card payment facilities are more commonly available in Kathmandu, major cities, and popular tourist areas. In remote trekking regions, access to ATMs and electronic payment facilities can be limited or unavailable, so travelers should carry sufficient local cash for meals, drinks, snacks, tips, charging services, small purchases, and unexpected expenses. The amount of cash required depends on the length and location of your trek, the services included in your package, and your personal spending habits. Everest Extreme Adventure can provide practical advice on how much local currency to carry based on your specific itinerary.

Accommodation varies depending on your destination, trekking route, altitude, and itinerary. In Kathmandu and other major cities, travelers can choose from hotels, guesthouses, and other accommodation options offering a range of modern facilities. On popular trekking routes, accommodation is generally provided in teahouses or lodges where guests can find rooms, meals, toilets, and basic facilities, although services and comfort levels may become more limited at higher and more remote elevations. Everest Extreme Adventure selects accommodation according to availability, location, comfort, safety, and the requirements of your itinerary, while keeping the nature and conditions of Himalayan trekking in mind.

Mobile networks and internet services are generally available in Kathmandu, major towns, and many popular trekking destinations, although connectivity can become limited, slower, or unreliable at higher elevations and in remote mountain areas. Many hotels, lodges, and teahouses offer Wi-Fi, sometimes for an additional charge, while international travelers can purchase a local Nepal SIM card after completing the required identification and registration process. Everest Extreme Adventure can help travelers understand available communication options and provide guidance on obtaining a local SIM card or staying connected during their journey, although network availability cannot always be guaranteed in remote Himalayan areas.

Booking a trip with Everest Extreme Adventure is simple and can be arranged according to your preferred destination, travel dates, group size, and itinerary. First, contact our team with details such as your preferred trek or tour, approximate travel dates, number of travelers, and any special requirements. Our team will then discuss your travel plans, recommend a suitable itinerary, and provide the relevant trip details and quotation. Once you confirm the itinerary and booking terms, you can proceed with the required booking deposit and provide the necessary traveler information and documents. After confirmation, Everest Extreme Adventure will arrange the required permits, accommodation, transportation, guides, and other included services and provide you with pre-trip information so you can prepare confidently for your adventure in Nepal.
